Achakzai sees groups paving way for external interference in Pakistan

QUETTA:,,, Caretaker Minister for Information Jan Achakzai said on Thursday that we know those groups who are paving way for external interference in Pakistan.

These views were expressed by him in a media briefing in Balochistan Civil Secretariat here on Thursday. Achakzai called on Amnesty International to maintain its impartiality and avoid being instrumental in the hands of separatist groups.

He said it had been planned in the protest sit-in staged in Islamabad in the name of missing persons to distort situation of the province, but the killing of missing persons abroad had exposed the propaganda.

Urging youth of Balochistan not to be seduced by anyone, he said shops of NGOs and agents had been closed after the killing of missing persons abroad. He added that since section 144 had been imposed in Quetta, hence, government would not let any political gatherings.

He said that that it had been planned to use the protest sit-in of a few female in Islamabad as a political stunt, but the failure of the protest sit-in foiled the planning. He said that the federal government provided all kinds of facilities to the marchers of long march that reached Islamabad under the leadership of Dr. Mahrung Baloch.

He said that it would be unjustified to ignore the links of Baloch Yekjehti Committee with outlawed organizations BLF and BLA. He said that Amnesty International had kept a discreet silence over the violation of human rights at the hands of Indian forces in India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir but on the other hand Amnesty International was worried to please separatist elements in Pakistan.

He said that since section 144 had been imposed in Quetta, the government would not let any political gatherings. In reply to a question about the kidnapping of labourers in Kech area of the province, he said that steps for the safe recovery of kidnapped labourers were being taken.
