QUETTA: Caretaker Minister for Information Jan Achakzai said on Wednesday that the names of terrorists had also been included in the missing persons list in a bid to exert pressure on the state.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, he said: “Report filed before the Supreme Court says that 468 persons have been reported to be missing in Balochistan.” He added that 2,200 missing persons had been recovered so far in Balochistan.
Mr Achakzai said a report regarding missing persons submitted before the Supreme Court of Pakistan had exposed propaganda about missing persons.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club, he said that the report submitted before the Supreme Court had proved the fact that the issue of missing persons was being used merely for propaganda, adding that leader of Baloch Yekjehti Committee Dr. Mahrung Baloch was trying to become Malala Yousafzai.
He said that nationalist political parties were running election campaign on the plea of Mahrung Baloch. “After filing report about missing persons in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the issue of missing persons should not be used for politics”, said Achakzai.
