Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has emphatically rejected any negotiations with terrorists, underscoring a firm stance against terrorism both domestically and internationally. During a press conference in Quetta, Abbasi affirmed the government’s commitment to pursuing and neutralizing terrorist threats relentlessly.
In a significant move to bolster railway security, Abbasi revealed plans to recruit 500 new personnel for the Railway Police. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance safety measures on the nation’s rail network, with a particular focus on Balochistan, where 70% of the new recruits will be stationed.
The Minister further announced that the Jaffar Express will commence its journey to Peshawar from today, with stringent security protocols in place to ensure passenger safety. Abbasi highlighted that these efforts are crucial in maintaining the integrity and safety of Pakistan’s railways amidst ongoing security challenges.
