The Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) delegation recently held an important meeting with Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Abdul Rasheed Solangi, to address pertinent issues facing the construction industry.
The delegation was led by Chairman ABAD Asif Sumsum, Senior Vice chairman Ibrahim Habib, Vice Chairman Zeeshan Siddique, Chairman Southern Region Mustafa Shaikhani and former chairman Muhammad Hassan Bakshi.
During the meeting, the Abad delegation highlighted various challenges encountered by the construction industry, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the private sector and regulatory authorities. Chairman Asif Sumsum underscored the significance of streamlined communication and cooperation to ensure the sustainable growth of the construction sector.
Director General SBCA, Abdul Rasheed Solangi, commended Abad’s proactive approach and reiterated the authority’s commitment to combating illegal constructions within the city.
Solangi emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of unauthorized construction activity, stressing the importance of adherence to regulatory guidelines for the safety and integrity of structures. Furthermore, both parties discussed the implementation of measures to enhance transparency and accountability in the construction process.
Solangi urged Abad members to prominently display project details on under-construction buildings, facilitating greater transparency and accountability within the industry.
Assuring the ABAD delegation of swift resolutions, he affirmed that all issues concerning the construction industry would be addressed promptly.
He expressed confidence in the collaborative efforts between Abad and SBCA to overcome challenges and foster a conducive environment for sustainable development.
