Aaeeni urges govt to address teachers’ problems

QUETTA: Government Teachers Association (Aaeeni) has demanded of the authorities to address the problems of teachers, including addressing the issue of “missing posts” in the budget book, upgrading the posts of teachers, expediting promotion cases of teachers, revitalising “time scale” of Senior Science Teacher (SST), or else protest movement would be launched.

These demands were made in the protest demonstration held on Monday outside Quetta Press Club under the aegis of Government Teachers Association (Aaeeni). Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers called on the authorities to accede to the charter of demands of Government Teachers Association (Aaeeni), demanding the authorities to address the problems of teachers, including addressing the issue of “missing posts, upgrading the posts of teachers, expediting promotion cases of teachers, revitalising “time scale” of Senior Science Teacher (SST), or else protest movement would be launched. They said if demands of Government Teachers Association (Aaeeni) were not addressed, protest movement would be launched. Protest demonstration was addressed by Aziz Agha, President, Government Teachers Association (Aaeni), district Quetta and others. Chanting slogans in support of their demands, protesters dispersed peacefully.
