A Severe Heatwave in Most Districts of Balochistan; Dust Storm Forecast for the Coastal Belt

The Meteorological Department’s Quetta Regional Center has forecast a severe heatwave in most districts of Balochistan, with Sibi, Turbat, Naseerabad, and Lasbela facing extreme conditions. A significant increase in temperature is expected in these areas, while daytime temperatures in Surab, Quetta, Mastung, Muslim Bagh, Qila Saifullah, and Loralai are expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the combination of heat and humidity in coastal areas will complicate the weather for residents. The department has also issued a warning of possible dusty and strong winds in the next 24 hours for Dalbandin, Nokundi, Kech, Panjgur, Kharan, Washuk, and surrounding low-lying areas.

The province will remain under the influence of hot and dry weather for the next 48 hours, with the possibility of more dusty and strong winds. This forecast follows the intense heat of the past 24 hours, with the highest temperature recorded at 48.0 degrees Celsius in Sibi, and predictions for temperatures in other areas like Turbat and Lasbela to reach up to 45.0 degrees Celsius. In light of this situation, residents need to take necessary precautions against the harsh weather conditions.
