Govt Prioritizes Road Infrastructure with 300km Projects

The Senate Standing Committee on Planning, Development and Special Initiatives has been briefed that the government is advancing road infrastructure projects covering over 300 kilometers.

The Chairman of the National Highway Authority presented to the committee that the Sukkur-Hyderabad (M-6) contract stands as a top priority. It has been segmented into five sections based on a feasibility report from international consultants.

The committee learned that two sections of the M-6 project will commence under the Public-Private Partnership model. Efforts are underway to secure investments for the remaining three sections, which demand significant funds for their execution and completion.
