Under the ‘Clean and Green Initiative’ of Punjab government, special arrangements have been taken to beautify the parks and green belts in Rawalpindi in view of spring season on the instructions of Director General PHA Rawalpindi Ahmed Hassan Ranjha.
In a statement on Thursday, Director General Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), said the work of renovating and beautification of parks and green belts has started in view of spring, under which the work of ensuring the decoration of the corridors of the parks and flowers, plants and grass is being started.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said the PHA is committed in providing best recreational opportunities to the citizens of Rawalpindi. He said PHA has special fame and unique identity across the country in view of spring season and it will take forward this legacy to beautify the green belts and Parks of Rawalpindi city.
He said as per the instructions of the Punjab government, all arrangements have been made to ensure entertainment and sports activities for the people of Rawalpindi.
Ranjha added that PHA has initiated Twin Cities Ramadan Cricket Cup to engage the youths in sports activities and matches of PHA Ramadan Cricket Cup 2025 are going on in PHA Potohar Ground, Dhok Munshii Rawalpindi.
He said PHA is making it’s best to facilitate the people of Rawalpindi with best recreational activities. He said beautification plan of different roads and green belts has already started in Rawalpindi and different roads have been decorated with fancy model for beautification of chowks and green belts.
Ranjha added that colorful flowers and plants have been planted on the green areas of Syedpur Road, in addition to this, the work of taking care of the plants is also underway.
On the instructions of Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, beautiful flower vases and small beds of beautiful plants have also been prepared at the intersections of Syedpur Road, Murree Road, Tipu Road and other main avenues of the Rawalpindi city.
Ahmed Hassan Ranjha said that practical steps are being taken for the beauty of the city. PHA is making every effort to provide the citizens of Rawalpindi with the best and most beautiful environment.
According to the mission of the Punjab government, work is going on rapidly on the Clean and Green Mission to improve the environment in the city. Rawalpindi will be made the most beautiful city in Punjab.
Ranjha said we want the people to breathe in the green atmosphere and PHA is fully aware with responsibilities and carrying forward the mission of Clean and Green Punjab as per the instructions of Punjab government.
