Pakistan, Russia Agree to Boost Counter-Terrorism Cooperation

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Russian Ambassador Albert P Khorev met in Islamabad to discuss enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation in counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics efforts.

According to Press Information Department statement today, both officials agreed to activate the counter-terrorism dialogue between the two nations, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to tackle the international challenge of terrorism. The meeting concluded with an understanding to increase the exchange of delegations to fortify mutual ties.

During the discussions, the Russian ambassador extended an invitation to Pakistani officials to participate in anti-narcotics training programs scheduled to take place in Moscow and Siberia.

Naqvi reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to strengthening its relationship with Russia, highlighting the potential for collaboration across various sectors.
