A new survey revealed today that a significant majority of Pakistanis express contentment with their current employment situation.

According to the Gallup and Gilani Pakistan poll, 61% of respondents reported being either completely or somewhat satisfied with their job or income source.

The survey, conducted between August 2nd and 21st, 2025, involved 1,060 adults across Pakistan’s urban and rural areas. The results indicate that 25% are “very satisfied,” while an additional 36% are “somewhat satisfied.” In contrast, 35% expressed dissatisfaction with their current earnings or occupation. A small fraction, 4%, either did not answer or were unsure.

The research, carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan (the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International), employed Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) methodology. The nationally representative sample provides insights into the employment satisfaction of Pakistani men and women. The margin of error is estimated at ± 2-3 percent with a 95% confidence level.
