ISLAMABAD: As many as 27 more people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours while the number of people who have died due to recent rains and floods across the country has reached 1191, according to a report on Wednesday.
The National Disaster Management Authority Wednesday released the details of the loss of life and property caused by the recent rains. As many as 80 districts across the country are affected by rains and floods in which more than 3.3 million people were affected, the NDMA report said.
During the last 24 hours, one person died in Punjab, seven in KP, four in Balochistan, and fifteen in Sindh. NDMA report further said that 422 deaths were recorded in Sindh, 253 deaths in Balochistan, 264 deaths in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 188 people lost their lives in Punjab, 22 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 41 in Azad Kashmir.

The total number of people who have been injured so far across the country has been recorded as 3641, the NDMA report said. As many as 2023 people were injured in Punjab, 1101 in Sindh, 164 in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 327, and 21 injured in Azad Kashmir.
Around 3728 23 houses were destroyed while 733 536 houses were partially damaged due to rains and floods. About 243 bridges and 173 shops across the country were damaged while more than 721,000 cattle were lost across the country. A total of 5063 km of road across the country has been damaged due to recent rains, the NDMA report said.
