ISLAMABAD: The government is paying special attention to exploit the potential of indigenous energy resources in order to produce cheap electricity and reduce reliance on imported fuel. According to an official report, there is a renewed focus on Thar coal which was neglected by the previous government. ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Tuesday rejected the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) petition seeking an early hearing in the Toshakhana case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal, after hearing arguments from both sides, held that the hearing in the case will be held on April 29, which was fixed earlier. ISLAMABAD: At the United Nations Pakistan has warned that world peace is threatened by supply of advanced arms and technologies to the states harboring extremist ideologies.
