ISLAMABAD:Minister for Power Khurram Dastagir inaugurated 132 KV grid station at Sohawa Tehsil in Jhelum district on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the grid station completed at a cost of four hundred million rupees will help improve power supply in the area. He was confident that this will reduce line losses of IESCO and benefit the consumers.
The Minister for Power said the government is executing power generation and transmission line projects. He said the transmission line projects completed recently included the one on Pakistan-Iran border and that of Thar-Matiari.
Khurram Dastagir said indigenous coal at Thar is being used to produce cheap electricity. He said Pakistan has also achieved the capability to manufacture wires used for transmission lines.
The Minister for Power said that this path of progress and development will be taken forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
