In a significant breakthrough, the Islamabad Police on Wednesday claimed to have apprehended 12 criminals, including two fugitives, during a widespread operation targeting criminal activity across the city.
This operation, spanning multiple police jurisdictions including Secretariat, Sumbal, Sangjani, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, and Nilore, resulted in the confiscation of 38 grams of illegal drugs and nine firearms complete with ammunition.
Law enforcement agencies have filed criminal charges against those detained, and investigations are actively underway to further dismantle criminal networks. This decisive action followed a directive from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a relentless pursuit of justice and maintenance of public order in the federal capital.
The campaign also focused on capturing notorious offenders and absconders, with police units achieving success by apprehending two more criminals. This initiative underscores the Islamabad Police”s unwavering dedication to safeguarding its citizens and upholding peace.
