ISLAMABAD: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) will dispatch 100 emergency relief trucks carrying 950 tons loaded with essential food items to flood affected areas of Pakistan to meet the needs of flood affected people.
According to PID information on Tuesday, 10,000 food packages will help flood affected people living in 17 district in all the provinces of Pakistan. Each food package comprises all necessary essential food items. The food bags will be distributed in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and local government. More than 70,000 people will benefit from this emergency relief.
Speaking on the occasion, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, the Ambassador of Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, said that both countries enjoyed close relations and the kingdom had always stood by Pakistan in every difficult times whenever needed, specially in disasters.
Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz thanked Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, Director KSRrelief and kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their generous and timely support for flood victims. Important to mention here is that KSRelief has already distributed 5000 food packages among recent flood affected people in Baluchistan. This project comes under the umbrella of humanitarian projects by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to assist affected families living in Pakistan.
