Students group rallies against PMC’s special exam

QUETTA: Medical students on Thursday took out protest rally from their protest camp set up outside Quetta Press Club, marched through different roads and staged a protest sit-in at Edhi chowk area of the provincial capital, demanding cancellation of PMC’s special exam.

According to detail, medical students of Jhalwan Medical College, Khuzdar, Mekran Medical College, Turbat and Loralai Medical College, Loralai rallied and staged a protest sit-in at Edhi Chowk near red zone area of Quetta. Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans in support of their demands, protesters chanted slogans, “We want justice”, “PMC special exam Na Manzoor” “PMC special exam is not acceptable”.

Addressing the protest sit-in, speakers demanded of the authorities that special exam, to be conducted by Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), was not acceptable to the 300 students studying in Jhalawan Medical College, Khuzdar, Mekran Medical College, Turbat and Loralai Medical College, Loralai. They called on authorities to cancel PMC’s special test.
