QUETTA:Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has urged the need for devising a strategy to combat illegal hunting and preserve forests in Turbat area of the province, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat here on Monday.

Taking strict notice of illegal hunting and deforestation in Turbat area of the province, Bizenjo directed Commissioner Mekran Division to look into the matter and a detailed report thereof be furnished to Chief Minister’s Secretary immediately. He directed the concerned authorities that strict legal action in accordance with the Wild Life Protection Act, Balochistan be taken against those involved in illegal hunting and deforestation. He said that forests and Wildlife played a pivotal role to ameliorate climate.

Urging the need for immediately devising a strategy to stop deforestation, he directed the concerned authorities that staff of Forest and Wildlife Department, Balochistan be mobilized against illegal hunting and deforestation.
