SSUET hosts Jashn-e-Eid Millad-un-Nabi and Seerat-un-Nabi Conference

KARACHI: Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET), Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) and Haji Rafiq Pardesi jointly organized the Seerat-un-Nabi Conference regarding Jashn e Eid Millad un Nabi at the campus that was attended by Haji Rafiq Pardesi, Chancellor Jawaid Anwar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin, General Secretary AMUOBA, Muhammad Arshad Khan, Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali, deans, HODs and a large number of students, faculty, staff and AMUOBA members and others. Renowned naat khwan Muhammad Khawar Naqshbandi, Tabsheer ul Haq Thanvi, and Sarwar Madani enthralled the audience with their soul-stirring naatkhwani.

Students of SSUET and ATI presented Qaseeda Burda Shareef and dua was done by Allama Abdul Mannan Abdul Razzaq Makki. Emphasizing upon the divine features of the Seerat un Nabi, renowned philanthropist and business tycoon Haji Rafiq Pardesi, said that “We shall be following the Holy Prophet, if sincerely following the Quran in its totality. Our nabi totally changed the history of humankind and the miracle of Hazrat Mohammad (SAW) was that he brought out men from darkness into light by shedding their ignorance. The success depends upon remembering Allah and following the preaching of Hazrat Mohammad (SAW).

Speaking on the soulful occasion, Chancellor SSUET, Jawaid Anwar, said that the life of the holy prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the mirror of Quran’s teachings. Seerat un Nabi is the source of inspiration and guidance for every Muslim.

Addressing the conference, distinguished religious scholar Abdul Mannan Abdul Razzaq Makki, said that Hazrat Adam was a good town planner and established the cities. Hazrat Idrees introduced engineering and civilization. Completion of the religion took place gradually and systematically. The life of Prophet Muhammad was the true reflection of Holy Quran. Islam allows women empowerment but restrict immoral activities. Women participated in wars. Women are an effective part of the society and we should take the advantage of their energy and skills.

Allama Muhammad Ebrahim Qadri Mahmoodi said that if you get closer to religion that means you get closer to the nabi, and ultimately, through this, you identify the creator, ALLAH. Life of prophet is an inspiring example to follow. Noshaba Siddiqui conducted the event beautifully.
