Probe committee terms girl’s torture issue as minor case

LARKANA: The inquiry committee constituted by the District Education Officer, Larkana, on the direction of higher authorities, to probe the allegation of torture on a girl student named Anzalna daughter of Anees-ur-Rahman Junejo of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ratodero, allegedly by her class teacher Saeeda Abro, 1ST of VIIth class, has found that there was no any “serious problem”, hence the complaint was baseless.

The inquiry committee consisted of Karim Bux Abro (BPS-19), Principal, Government SZC Higher Secondary School, Larkana and Qalandar Bux Mugheri, Principal (BPS-19), Government Prov: (MPL) Higher Secondary School, Larkana, which conducted inquiry on 13th November whereas the incident took place on 11th November.

MPA and PPP Ladies Wing Head, Faryal Talpur took notice of the incident due to which it became high profile case of torture in a government girls school but the committee detected that no serious incident took place and the father of the girl also said in his statement that “minor problems are created in the institution as well as in the home”. He further said that “he has no objection to a minor problem which was resolved by the head of the institution”.

Class teacher Saeeda Abro said in her statement that Anzalna was suffering from fever at 12 noon and she was allowed to go home.
