ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has called for urgent action to limit global warming, which poses an existential threat to humanity.

This was stated by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent representative to the United Nations, Aamir Khan during a high-level debate in the UN General Assembly. In his remarks, Ambassador Aamir Khan also referred to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement at the Middle East Green Initiative in Riyadh that Pakistan’s per capita carbon emissions are among the lowest in the world, less than one percent of global emissions.
