KOHLU: One person died while two others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries in a landmine explosion in Baraili area of Tehsil Maiwand, district Kohlu in Balochistan province on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, motorcycle struck a land mine in Baraili area of Tehsil Maiwand in District Kohlu, resultantly, motorcyclist namely Nudhan son of Miran died on the spot while one child and a woman, riding on the motorcycle, sustained injuries.

The body and injured were rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Kohlu where after providing initial treatment, the injured were referred to Dera Ghazi Khan for further treatment while the body was handed over to the heirs after fulfilling necessary medico-legal formalities. On information, security forces reached the site, cordoned off the area and started hunt for apprehending terrorists.
