QUETTA: Ali Akbar Baloch, Secretary, Local Government Department, has said that no compromise would be made on the cleanliness of Quetta city. These views were expressed by him while talking to Shoukat Ali, Administrator, Quetta Metropolitan Corporation who called on him here on Wednesday. Baloch said, “It is our responsibility to keep Quetta city neat and clean, because Quetta is our joint home”.
He said that it was the responsibility of every citizen of Quetta city to extend cooperation to the staff of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation so as to make Quetta neat and clean. He said that instead of criticizing the authorities and staff of QMC unnecessarily, their deficiencies be pointed out so that legal action could accordingly be taken against them.
Separately, Shoukat Ali, Administrator, Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) chaired a meeting in his office to deliberate upon issues pertaining to the cleanliness of Quetta city. Speaking on the occasion, Shoukat Ali said that administration of QMC was fully alert to cope up with any eventuality, adding that measures were being adopted to improve sewerage system of the city and in that regard residents of Quetta ought to have extended cooperation to the staff of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation.
