MoU signed to promote football in Sindh

KARACHI: A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Sindh Government and Talent Lyfe UAE to promote football in Sindh. The MoU was signed by Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Sports Arbab Lutuf Ullah on behalf of Sindh Government while Adviser Mustafa Ahmed signed on behalf of Talent Lyfe UAE here at a local hotel on Thursday. On this occasion Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar was also present. A delegation of Talent Lyfe UAE consisted of Mikael Sarry Silvertre, Ms. Jessica Hurtado and others also witnessed the MoU signing ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Sports Arbab Lutuf Ullah said that in the past, football in Sindh was treated like a stepmother. ‘We are doing our best for its promotion and development. We are grateful to the Talent Life delegation for providing a program for the promotion and development of football in Sindh which will not only provide opportunities for the players to showcase their talents but also the players financially’. He added.

Welcoming the Talent Life delegation, Syed Qasim Naveed, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Investment Department and Public Private Partnership Projects, said that the Government of Sindh would extend full cooperation to them at all levels. Additional Secretary Sports Shakir Qayyum Khanzada, Ali Mardan Shah and senior officials of Sports Department as well as representatives of Sindh Olympic Association were also present on the occasion.

Later, Hamza Farooq gave a detailed briefing while Waleed of Talent Life said that they would not only renovate the ground in 29 districts of Sindh but also provide all necessary facilities to the football players. Makael another member of the delegation from UAE said that they are investing millions of dollars in their program. Through concrete measure the game of football would improve in Sindh.
