LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday rejected an appeal filed by a flight attendant of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in a fake degree case.

Upholding the civil court judgment, the LHC issued the five-page reserved verdict, stating stated that airhostess Samina Saleem Qureshi was recruited in 1996 and her BA degree turned out to be bogus when cross-checked with the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.

The verdict stated that the petitioner was only challenging her termination and claiming she got a job on FA degree rather than the BA degree. The LHC verdict said that the petitioner did not seek any assistance for damages.

The review petition was filed by Samina Saleem Qureshi, who was dismissed from her job for having a fake BA degree, arguing that the minimum educational qualification required for the post of a flight attendant was intermediate.
