LARKANA:Cleaning of sewerage drains drive in Union Committee-11 continued on 5th consecutive day here on Tuesday on the direction of JUI-F Sindh General Secretary Maulana Rashid Mahmood Soomro by the workers of the party to free the residents of the menace of uncleanliness and overflowing sewage which has ruined lives of the citizens apart from spreading deadly diseases and environmental pollution issues.

Maulana Rashid Soomro said in a statement issued by Maulana Hameedullah Siyal on Tuesday that Larkana is no more a constituency of one of the leaders of the ruling party but it looks like an alien area. He said cleanliness in Larkana is not being made special especially residents of UC-11 have been facing serious hardships regularly and it stands entirely neglected after the end of the local bodies system.

He said the cleanliness campaign will continue till all the sewerage drains are completely cleaned and unlifted garbage is removed. He said a big question mark is on the working of Larkana Municipal Corporation which annually receives Rs two billion as budget. He said discriminatory policies of PPP has ruined Larkana but JUI-F will continue to fight for the rights of the denizens.

He said all 20 Union Committees of Larkana are seen filled with filth and due to unlifted piles of garbage Larkana is looking like the ruins of Mohenjo Daro. He said PPP should stop victimizing people here and it should refrain from taking political revenge from the residents. He said after the defeat in the 2018 election, people of UC-11 have been deprived of basic rights. He said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will also be defeated in the upcoming elections.
