LARKANA: An eight-year old boy Muzamil son of Sharafuddin Tunio was bitten by stray dogs in Junani Sharif village of Warah Taluka near here on Monday and injured him critically.
His relatives rushed him to the Dog Bite Treatment and Vaccination Center of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH), Larkana, for treatment and anti-rabies vaccine. His father Sharaf Tunio told newsmen that his son was playing outside the home when he was suddenly attacked by stray dogs which were roaming freely in their village. He said his son was injured seriously hence finding no other way he brought him to Larkana for ARV and treatment. He said the dogs bit him in the foot, and other parts of the body and wounded him critically.
In another incident, young Asad son of Arbab Soomro was electrocuted when he was repairing an electric board in Cinema locality of Kambar on Monday. He was a resident of Khairpur Nathan Shah and had come to Kambar to earn livelihood. He too was rushed to CMCH for treatment and further management but doctors said he has been brought dead.
In yet another incident, 48-year Kashmir Mahesar was gunned down and primary teacher Nadir Tunio was injured in Lal Bux Mahesar village of Sijawal due to old enmity by armed men. Both were shifted to CMCH where doctors said Kashmire Mahesar had already died and treatment of the injured was underway.
It must be mentioned here that there are no emergency medical treatment facilities in the entire Larkana Division except Larkana city where the injured persons of firearms and road accidents are brought from the five districts for treatment and during shifting most of them die without reaching the Hospital for bleeding.
