Documents of 676 vehicles seized in road checking drive

KARACHI: On the direction of Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Mukesh Kumar Chawla, a total of 5327 vehicles have been checked till the third day of the road checking campaign against tax defaulting vehicles, while the documents of 676 vehicles have been seized due to various reasons.

During the road checking campaign, more than Rs. 1.3 million tax has been collected from tax defaulting vehicles so far. It is to mention here that a tax collection campaign against tax defaulting vehicles has been launched in Karachi and the road checking campaign which started on November 22 will continue till November 26. This road checking campaign has been launched on the instructions of Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Department and Parliamentary Affairs and Food.

Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla has once again asked the owners of tax defaulting vehicles to pay their taxes on time to avoid any untoward situation. He said that taxes might be deposited on line as well while visiting website www.excise.gos.pk
