CM Punjab chairs meeting of PPPP and Monitoring Board

LAHORE:The 11th meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Policy and Monitoring Board was held under the chair of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office on Monday. The revised costs of the 86km long Vehari-Multan road and Sargodha-Chiniot-Faisalabad road was approved in principle.

The CM said the construction of the Vehari-Multan road was a long-standing demand of the people and vowed to complete it on a priority basis to ease the movement of the citizens. Similarly, the Sargodha-Chiniot-Faisalabad road would also be completed in PPP mode. Full attention was being paid to the roads which were neglected in the past, he added. The proceedings of the 9th and 10th meetings were also endorsed.

Provincial ministers Hashim Jawan Bakht, Sardar Asif Nakai, Advisor Dr Salman Shah, MPAs, chief secretary, chairman Planning and Development, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, secretaries, chief executive officer of Public-Private Partnership Authority and senior officials attended the meeting.
