Child death investigation report submitted to CM Balochistan

QUETTA: Report of investigation conducted by CMIT, Balochistan to dig out the causes with regard to the death of a child who fell into the gutter of BMCH, Quetta has been submitted to the Chief Minister Balochistan on Sunday.

According to reports, Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (C.M.I.T), Balochistan submitted report to Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo regarding death of a child who fell into the gutter of Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, Quetta, recommending that administration of BMCH, Quetta had failed to perform duties. Fixing responsibility on Resident Medical Officer (General), BMCH, Quetta, CMIT, Balochistan recommended for initiating disciplinary proceedings against Resident Medical Officer (General), BMCH, Quetta after placing his services under suspension.

In the report it had also been recommended to initiate disciplinary action against supervisor and other staff deputed for sanitation in BMCH, Quetta besides making recommendations for carrying out the repair work of 56 dysfunctional CCTV cameras installed in BMCH, Quetta and improving security system of the hospital. It is pertinent to mention that Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo had directed CMIT, Balochistan to investigate the death of three-year-old boy Iskan Ali, who had fallen into the gutter of BMCH, Quetta and died.
