Call to open Pak-Afghan border point

CHAMAN:Muhammad Sadiq Achakzai, General Secretary, Mazlum Ulasi Tehreek has called on authorities to open Pak-Afghan border point.

Addressing a press conference at Chaman Press Club here on Tuesday, he said that the closure of Pak-Afghan border had deprived most of the people of district Chaman of their livelihood. Achakzai said that business of the majority of people Chaman and its adjoining areas were associated with trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan, but the closure of borders had snatched the sole means of their livelihood.

Achakzai added that business community was confronting the loss of millions of rupees. He said that the government of Taliban closed the border due to the maltreatment of Pakistani security forces with Afghan citizens. Achakzai called on authorities to hand over the affairs of Pak-Afghan friendship gate to Frontier Corps (FC), FIA and levies.

He said All Parties Tajir Ittehad was going to arrange a protest demonstration in Chaman against the closure of Pak-Afghan border. On the occasion, Ameer Muhammad and Ghousullah of Laghari Ittehad, Haji Abdul Razzaq Bilalzai of Mazlum Ulasi Tehreek, Dr. Rafiullah of Pushtun Grand Alliance Jirga, Haji Bore Muhammad of Jamaat-e-Islami, Qari Imdadullah, Molvi Abdul Khaliq Sunni and others were also present.
