Business delegation of Oman visits Pakistan from January 4

ISLAMABAD: A 20-member high powered business delegation headed by Engr Redha Juma Muhammad Ali Al Saleh, Chairman, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be visiting Pakistan from January 4 to January 9, 2022.

The business delegation comprises leading Omani as well as Pakistani businessmen representing sectors such as livestock and meat, textile and garments, fruits, vegetables / food stuff, pharmaceutical and surgical instrument, real estate, furniture and furnishing and marble, tourism etc.

During their stay in Pakistan, the delegation will be calling on Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and will also hold B2B meetings with their Pakistani counterparts.

In addition to their meetings with Chambers and business leaders, the delegation will also call on our leadership, says a press statement issued by the Press Information Department here on Tuesday.

Pakistan and Oman enjoys highly cooperative, friendly and brotherly relations, which are spread over centuries and the visit is aimed at promoting bilateral trade, commercial and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Oman. Oman being our maritime neighbor holds immense importance from trade, commerce, investment and connectivity as envisioned by our leadership.

The visit is arranged as part of Mission’s efforts to promote economic diplomacy. As per vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, there is a paradigm shift from geo – strategic to geo-economic cooperation.

Connectivity being an important pillar of Prime Ministers ‘ vision, Pakistan and Oman are strategic partners to connect each other with the region through China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Exchange of such delegation will certainly assist in promoting trade, commercial and economic cooperation with Oman.
