ISLAMABAD:All banks in Pakistan are closed for public dealing today (January 3), as per an earlier announcement by the central bank.

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), in a statement issued to this effect, had said that January 3, 2022, will be observed as ‘bank holiday’, therefore, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs) and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) are closed for public dealing. The SBP itself is closed too. The statement, however, had mentioned that employees of banks, DFIs and MFBs will attend office as usual.
