ISLAMABAD: The Airport Security Force (ASF) on Tuesday foiled an bid to launder a huge amount of money by recovering $79,480 from a Doha-bound passenger.

According to the ASF information, Shehnaz Shah had concealed the money in his clothes kept in a bag. ASF during recovered $79,480 from his bag. The suspect was later handed over to the Customs officials for further investigation.

Separately, in another operation at this airport, the ASF personnel recovered over six kilogrammes of ice heroin from a Damam-bound passenger. The ASF personnel said that Mir Sajjad Ali was carrying the heroin in a bag. He was later handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials for interrogation, they added.
