APHC welcomes PM Imran’s decision to raise Kashmir issue in UNGA

ISLAMABAD: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K), All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) spokesman in a statement in Srinagar welcomed the decision of Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, to raise the Kashmir dispute in the current session of the General Assembly in New York.

He urged the World Body to focus on the violations of international law as reflected in different notifications issued by the Modi regime to curtail and squeeze political, economic, trade, land, employment and travel rights of the Kashmiri people even in their own homeland.

Meanwhile, Indian authorities suspended mobile and Internet services in Baramulla district in the wake of the ongoing massive cordon and search operation that continued on the third day. The sleuths of Indian National Investigation Agency arrested over a dozen people during raids in Srinagar and other areas of the Kashmir valley.

On the other hand, more than 1,000 Muslim girls have been made ineligible for lady constable posts in the Indian state of West Bengal for wearing headscarves and hijabs. The affected girls told media that wearing hijab is their constitutional right and the Police Recruitment Board has no right to deprive them of their religious rights.
