QUETTA:Sardar Aurang Shah Khilji, President, Awami League (AL), Quetta, has said that AL was gaining popularity in the country owing to its policy aimed at empowering the lowest strata of the society.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that AL under the leadership of Chaudry Nasir Mehmood, central President, AL had always raised voice for the rights of the people of the country. He said that in order to empower poor people of the country, system was required to be altered.

He said that attention had been paid to organize party in Balochistan and particularly in Quetta city, adding that Shamir Khilji, Provincial President, AL, Balochistan, Samiullah, General Secretary and other office bearers of the party had devoted their time and energies to convey the people’s friendly message of the party to the people of Balochistan.
