KARACHI: Young nurses on Monday took out a rally in Karachi, demanding health risk, Covid allowances, extension of contracts, and audit copy of four-tier formula of nurses at JPMC and NICVD.

The nurses held a protest demonstration at the Karachi Press Club and later marched towards Chief Minister House but police stopped them. The participants raised heavy slogans against the police and the health authorities for not providing health risk and Covid allowances.

They leaders said that they would continue protest until someone from the government accepted all their demands. They came out in such big numbers that the main roads in the area were jammed. The leaders asked the Sindh government to come up with concrete measures and accepted their all demands which are genuine.
