ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister SAPM on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar has announced to launch Ehsaas Rashan program to provide subsidy to deserving people.
Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, she said on Monday a portal will be opened for deserving people for registration. She said registered people will be able to get subsidies on oil/ghee, pulses and flour.
She said people with an income lower than thirty-one thousands rupees per month will be entitled to avail the subsidy. She said thirty five percent budget will be provided by federal government whereas sixty five percent will be the share of provincial governments. Dr Sania Nishtar said government will add more people at the later stage on the availability of fiscal space.
